Mother members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have been invited, in companionship with their husbands and in coordination with the collective, worldwide membership of the church to remodel their homes into sanctuaries of faith. The prophet has counseled us to shift our paradigm from a church centered gospel to a home centered system of spiritual education and practice. The Family: A Proclamation to the World states that, “Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children.” In this charge, the women of Zion are heeding the call and advancing to the front lines of their motherhood. For all of us, this can seem a daunting task. If we are wise however, we will see that this prophetic instruction to realign priorities and more fully convert our hearts and homes is a blessing granting us increased spiritual power, courage, and conversion.
